Melinda Cagle – Director

Melinda is originally from Alabama and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in both public and private schools. When she moved to Virginia 8 years ago, with her husband’s job at Capital Caring, she became a preschool teacher at a local Christian preschool. After 2 years of teaching, she was offered the position of Assistant Director for 1 year and Director for 2 years. Melinda joined St. Paul’s in May of 2016. She has 2 birth children, Brooke & Blake who live in Atlanta, Georgia, 2 adopted children, Nicole & Joseph who attend Annandale High School, and 1 grand-daughter Caroline born in September, 2016. I love having the opportunity to minister to families and children and share the love of Jesus!

Marian Robinson – Financial Manager

Marian has been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for 20 years and has been the Financial Manager since 2000.A native of the Illinois Quad Cities, she has worked in the accounting field for many years. The Mother of 4 grown daughters.and the Grandmother to 11 grandchildren. She loves to travel and watch the Nats!

Matthew Hart - Director of Music

Matthew Aron Hart earned a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education degree from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester VA. He studied voice with Jackson Sheats, and Gene Galvin and organ with Judy Connelly, Steven Cooksey and Paul Skevington. Recently in 2013, he earned a Graduate Certificate in Church Music also from Shenandoah. A singer since the age of 18 months, music has played a major role in his life. He has taught elementary music and middle school chorus in the public schools, has been a music director and organist at several churches since 1996, appeared on XM Satellite Radio and The joy of Music TV Series with Diane Bish. He continues his career the fields of Music Education and Church Music.Matthew is looking forward to introducing a love of music to all the students at St. Paul's!

Janice Sebring – Lead Teacher for 2's Lions Class and 2 1/2 Turtles Class

Janice Sebring is the Lead Teacher for the Turtles and Lions Classes. She has a degree from Bryn Mawr College and has been a member of St. Paul’s for thirty years. She has two grown children, and served as volunteer librarian at a Christian school for several years before homeschooling her son through junior and senior high school. Janice loves introducing children to music, dance, and drama. Outside of school, she enjoys writing, genealogy, gardening, and cooking.

Ananya Mukherjee - Assistant Teacher for the Turtles Class & Lions Class

Hello my name is Ananya Mukherjee and I have been working with children over 10 years. I enjoy every aspect of teaching and have realized that they can teach us as much as we teach them. I enjoy my time with preschoolers very much and I am so thankful for the opportunity to watch them grow and flourish.
I have a big passion for drama, arts and music. I feel that music and performance is essential in toddler’s classroom as it helps to engage, entertain and capture the children's imaginations. I am very happy to be a part of St. Paul's Lutheran preschool family.
Outside of school, I am passionate about singing and I love anything to do with my 6 year old son and enjoy spending most of my spare time with my family.

Sandy McNabb – Assistant Teacher for the Ladybugs Class, 3 Day - 3 year olds

Sandy McNabb is a wife, mother and a teacher. Sandy has taught at St. Paul’s for eight years. Sandy has been a lead teacher for the last five years and an assistant the previous three years. She is a high school graduate, 3 years of college & numerous preschool continuing ed classes.I love to spend time with my family, the outdoors, read, cook, & animals.

Jill Cha – Lead Teacher for the Owls Class and Ladybugs Class - 3's - 2 day; 3's - 3 day

Jill Cha Graduated from George C. Marshall Hs in 1990. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1994 with a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education.She worked as a SACC teacher from 1995 to 1996. Jill worked as a Kindergarten teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools from 1996 to 2001.She took time off to raise children. Worked at St. Paul’s from 2008 to 2011 as a lead teacher. Had 4th child in 2011 and returned to St. Paul’s in 2015 as a substitute, then assistant teacher in February 2016. Jill is originally from Illinois, and moved to Virginia in 1983. I have 4 children from 5 to 17.

Erin Link – Lead Teacher for the Frogs Class, 4 day - 3 year olds

Erin Link is the lead teacher for the Friendly Frogs class. She came to St. Paul’s in 2014 after teaching for five years at another local Christian preschool. Erin has more than 12 years of experience working with children. She loves children and loves Jesus. A native Texan, Erin earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, and spent the early part of her career, before having children, working in communications and public relations. She and her husband met at their church 20 years ago and have two daughters. She loves to read, bake, do arts and crafts and take weekend trips with her family.

Ashley Muskett – Assistant for the Frogs Class , 4 day - 3 year olds

My name is Ashley Muskett...I am married and have 4 fabulous children. I am from Virginia and graduated from George Mason University in 1997. I worked in a private school in Falls church for 10 years and taught kindergarten for a year before I left work to raise my children. I have been subbing for St. Paul's for the past 5 years and have loved every minute of it. Now that my children are old enough I knew it was time to get back to working everyday.

Karen Ryals – Lead Teacher for the Rainbows Class , 4 day, 4 year olds

I am excited to join the staff at St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool for the 2018/19 school year as the lead teacher in the Rainbow classroom. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, earned a bachelor’s degree for the University of Missouri, married and raised our three sons in St. Louis. Prior to recently moving to northern Virginia, I taught prekindergarten for 17 years at a Lutheran Preschool in St. Louis. I love guiding young learners to their greatest potential and teaching in a nurturing Christian environment.

Mary Ann Mitchell – Assistant for the Rainbows Class, 4 day -4 year olds

Mary Ann Mitchell has been with St. Paul’s Preschool for 6 years. She is an assistant teacher in the four year old classroom. Mary Ann has two teenage daughters and is married to a retired Army officer. She has lived in 9 different location in her 25 years of marriage .
Mary Ann has a degree in elementary education and a masters in early childhood. She enjoys art, cooking, and travel and loves working at St Paul’s with the children and great staff!

Kathy McFadden – Lead Teacher for the Toucans Class, 5 day - 4 year olds

Kathy McFadden has been teaching at St. Paul’s Preschool for 21 years. She has a BA in English Literature from George Mason University. She is married, a mother of four, a grandmother of 6 and has lived in the Northern Virginia area her whole life.

Vanessa McRae – Assistant for the Toucans Class, 5 day - 4 year olds

My name is Vanessa McRae. This will be my 11th school year at St. Paul’s alongside Kathy McFadden. I’ve had the pleasure to work with all the ages at St. Pauls from 18 months on up. I was born in Houston, Texas but raised in Northern Virginia. Currently I’m working towards my Early Childhood Education Development A.A.S. I find it very rewarding to spread the love of God with the children and families. Every year I’ve felt grateful to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
